CT Pistol Permit Course
Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely, this course fulfills the training requirements in order to obtain your CT Pistol Permit.

Due to recent events, we have decided to change our classroom portion of the CT Pistol Permit Course to an online format. This will include classroom and testing. All handling and live fire will be performed at a shooting range. YOU MUST TAKE THE ONLINE CLASSROOM AND TEST BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR THE LIVE FIRE CLASS. Range location may vary depending on availability.
More Details: This course is up to 8-hours long (usually takes less) and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; live fire shooting; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.
Students will take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and receive a Course Completion Certificate.
Pricing includes classroom instruction, certification, use of safety equipment, use of handguns, ammunition and live fire range fees.

- Computer (with speakers and camera) or smart device to access the internet.
- Email address for each individual student.
You will be emailed login information to participate in the video conference. You will also receive an email with course materials and a link to the online test.

YOU MUST 1ST COMPLETE THE ONLINE CLASSROOM AND TESTING
STAGE 2
THEN COMPLETE THE LIVE FIRE AT THE SHOOTING RANGE
Steps for making a reservation
- Verify you meet the prerequisites above.
- Click on the "Make a Reservation" button below.
- Choose the Online Class (or Live Fire if online class has been completed) from our schedule and click on the class.
- Click "New Reservation" and read messages.
- Follow the instructions. Use your full name as it appears on your drivers license. This will be used for your certificate. Register each student individually.
